General opening times

We are normally open seven days a week throughout the whole year. (except Christmas Day)

Gates open at 8:00am and close at: 7pm or dusk (whichever is earlier)

Advanced booking is not essential but does guarantee that you will be able to fish at your chosen time. Please contact us for advanced bookings or with any queries about opening times or availability.

Special Events

From time to time we run special events such as charity or group days. For some, part or all of the fishery may be closed to general fishing. Details of any restrictions are listed below. If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to ask us.

EA Rod Licences

Environment Agency Rod licences are required for fishing at Rockbourne. Unfortuntately, fisheries such as us are no longer able to issue paper licences. Instead there is a new online system available here or you can buy your licence from a post office.

SWAP YOUR CATCH FOR SMOKED TROUT

I'm sure many of you are aware that we currently offer a swap for fish you've caught for a 200g pack of cold smoked trout at no extra cost. Unfortunately, due to increasing costs, this service is no longer viable for the fishery. We will still be offering smoked trout swaps but there will now be a small charge of £2 per fish swapped for smoked trout to help cover the cost. This will come into effect on Monday 3rd May.

*Day membership is £10 per visit. This entitles you to purchase a two, three or four fish ticket. If a member fails to catch their fish limit, then they are entitled to take the uncaught fish as either fresh or frozen fish (subject to availability).
Fish are supplied at the zero rate of VAT.
